$72K to $100K Post Office Jobs -- With Regular Salary Increases and Overtime Pay

U.S. citizens that are at least 18 years old qualify to apply for jobs at the United States Postal Service (USPS), and can make up to $100,000 a year with great benefits. They are hiring city carrier assistants, rural carrier assistants, mail handler assistants, automotive technicians, clerks, and maintenance mechanics.

Mail Handlers work in an industrial environment, and the job requires loading, unloading and moving of sacks of mail and packages weighing up to 70 pounds. May include irregular hours. Prior to appointment, applicants will be required to pass a test of physical abilities. Applicants must demonstrate they can lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Automotive Technicians perform routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles used in the postal fleet. The job requires troubleshooting and diagnosing more complex vehicle malfunctions using a variety of computerized test equipment; may provide assistance to lower level employees.

Clerks work indoors sorting and distributing mail. This job requires working with the public selling stamps and weighing parcels, and are responsible for all money and stamps. May include irregular hours.

City Carriers collect and deliver mail in all kinds of weather, and walk and/or drive on their route. This job requires prolonged standing, walking, reaching and the ability to lift 70 pounds. Carriers are also required to carry a mail bag weighing as much as 35 pounds.

In addition to highly competitive basic pay rates, most Postal Service employees also receive regular salary increases, overtime pay, night shift differential, and Sunday premium pay. The Postal Service participates in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, which provides excellent coverage and flexibility with most of the cost paid by the Postal Service. They also participates in the federal retirement program, which provides a defined benefit annuity at normal retirement age as well as disability coverage.
